Senior Management of fastest growing company in the industry providing owners with innovative management systems of convention/exhibition centers, theaters, stadiums and arenas, reporting to Senior Vice President/COO. during this period accounts under management grew from 9 to over 115 in all venue sectors.

Responsible for providing pre-opening assistance including design review, staffing, sales and marketing strategies/systems, labor relations and day to day operations to all Global Spectrum clients. Including supervision of various accounts.

Metro Exposition & Recreation Commission
Stadium Manager – Civic Stadium, Portland, OR1999-2000

Responsible for day-to-day operations including bookings, event services, operations and maintenance. Facility was home to Portland Rockies Baseball A League, Portland State University football, high school football and major concerts. Hosted three FIFA Women’s World Cup double header matches-Summer 1999. Served on Selection Committee for Food Service RFP for all MERC venues-Performing Arts Complex, Oregon Convention Center, Portland Expo and Civic Stadium.

Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority-Las Vegas, Nevada                        

Director of Facilities- Cashman Center Complex 1998

Responsible for day-to-day operations of the sports, entertainment and convention/exhibition facilities. Complex consisted of 98,600 square foot exhibition hall, 16,000 square feet of meeting space, a performing arts theater (1,940 seating capacity),  a baseball stadium (9,370 seating capacity) which was home to Triple A minor league team and 2500 space parking lot.

Senior Manager of international facility management company specializing in innovative and creative management solutions for convention/exhibition centers, stadiums, arenas, theaters. Joined this company during start up and was assigned to the first management account. Responsible for management of day-to-day operations of assigned facility (Harborview Convention Center) and consulting and pre-opening services to include design review, staffing,, sales and marketing strategies/systems, labor relations, and day-to-day operations to all Globe Facility Services clients. Includes supervision of various accounts.

Planned and directed pre-opening functions to include staffing, developing operating policies and systems, sales/marketing strategies, developed specifications for all F.F.E. and successfully opened the Center. Budget performance outpaced Consultants’ projections by over $2.5 million over first three years in operation.

The Center consisted of  a 200,000 square foot exhibit hall, 36,000 square foot ballroom, 23,000 square feet of meeting rooms and a 500 space parking garage.

Kentucky Fair & Expo Center

Kentucky International Convention Center (formerly Commonwealth Convention Center)

Responsible for day-to-day management of operations, sales/bookings, administration, box office, parking operations and event services. Responsible for all long term lease agreements to include land lease agreements with Executive Inn East, Executive Inn West and downtown Hyatt Regency. Additionally responsible for the downtown Kentucky International Convention Center with over 120.000 square feet of meeting and exhibition space and downtown 500 space parking structure with retail space. The Fair and Expo Center consisted of Freedom Hall(19,000 seat capacity), Broadbent Arena(7,000 seat capacity), Cardinal Stadium (34,000 seat capacity),  over 10,000 parking spaces and over 800,000 square feet of exhibition space. The facility was home to University of Louisville men’s basketball and football games, Louisville Redbirds Triple A Minor League baseball, and major national tradeshows.

Provided information, technical assistance, strategic planning, and analysis of programs and policy issues with special emphasis on budgetary and planning issues. Duties included analysis of agency organizational management structure to including authoring reorganization plans. Provided primary staff assistance to Kentucky State Fair Board and served as financial advisor on construction of Kentucky Center for the Arts.
